Dolly Parton Imagination Library

In 2020, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library book program served 1,400 children - ages birth to 5 - with 18,814 books in Etowah County.

Freebie Reads

The Freebie Reads book program provides books for pre-school children. Over 2,000 books were distributed in 2020 to children under six through community outreach and local pediatrician offices.

Kinder Camp

In 2020, Kinder Camp one-day event could not happen on campus due to the pandemic, but we were still able to donate school supplies, books, and community resource information to every kindergartener at three rural schools. Ivalee, Duck Springs, and West End.

School Readiness Calendars

1,600 were circulated throughout Etowah County last year.

In addition to the programs above, Girlfriend Gala is able to assist in contributing to the following Success By 6 programs":

  • Born Learning Trails: 7 have been installed to-date

  • HOME (Helping Our Mothers Excel: Home visits to young mothers in Etowah County (350 visits last year)

  • Service as executives on the Children’s Policy Council
